If you are thinking of arranging a funeral to take place in St Leonard's we would encourage you to start by approaching a local funeral director who will take care of the arrangements for you including liaising with us.
One of our ministers will then be in touch with you to help you plan the service and offer any support you may need.
Following the funeral the minister or one of the trained visitors will offer to continue meeting with you. If you would value some more immediate pastoral support during this time please do get in touch with Rev. David Newton directly.
Although the the church yard around St Leonard's in now closed there is a newer cemetery on Lawn Lane which is run by the church. All parishoners (those with a permanent address in the parish) and any persons who die in the parish have a right to be buried there.
At the discretion of the minister, others who have ties to the parish may be granted permission to be buried there as well.
There is also space for the burial of ashes. Please talk to a local funeral director who will liaise with us to organise this.
